The Fault in Our Stars Trailer Review

John Green, author of The Fault in Our Stars as well as the books Looking For Alaska and Will Grayson, Will Grayson. His novels are always deep and poignant, but they are never without humor.

The Fault in Our Stars, otherwise known as TFIOS, was published January 10, 2012. Since then, it has become a very well known book, and rose to number one on The New York Times Best Seller List. Soon after the book was released, it was announced that the novel would soon become a movie. This news left fans of the book very excited for the day they could see it in theatres.

However, some fans were worried about the quality and the accuracy of the movie. The book is so well written that people didn’t want to see the book completely butchered by bad actors and a plot that would not follow the book at all. However, once the trailer for the movie was released, any doubts were left behind.

Actors Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort play main characters Hazel Grace Lancaster and Augustus Waters respectively. Woodley and Elgort were also in the movie Divergent together, where they played brother and sister. Because they played siblings, people thought it would be awkward for the actors to play characters in love after their previous roles. But once again, the trailer proved all naysayers wrong.

You can see the two characters falling in love in the short two minute preview. Hazel, otherwise called Hazel Grace by Augustus, has lung cancer, while Augustus is now cancer-free. The two love birds met at cancer support group and have been inseparable since that day. The movie is romantic, but is also tragic, so make sure you bring plenty of Kleenex if you plan on seeing this movie.

The movie will be released June 6, 2014. It’s about two witty teenagers and their shared loves and fears. Watch The Fault in Our Stars in theatres by John Green, directed by Josh Boone on June 6, and you too will feel the love and tragedy of Hazel Grace and Augustus Waters.
