Remembering Bob Saget

On January 9, 2022, Robert (Bob) Saget suddenly died at the Ritz-Carlton in Grand Lake Florida. The autopsy reported the 65-year-old’s cause of death was a subdural hematoma and subarachnoid hemorrhage or head trauma. It is thought he simply hit his head earlier in the day and died peacefully in his sleep. His family–wife, Kelly Rizzo, and daughters Audrey, Jennifer, and Laura–and friends buried him on Friday January 14th in Los Angeles California.
Saget was best known for his role on the 1980s sitcom Full House. He played the iconic father of America, Danny Tanner, raising three daughters as a widowed father with the help of a comedic friend, Joey, and brother-in-law Jesse. The show focused on the typical American family. The show had 8 seasons and followed the three daughters of Tanner, DJ, Stephanie, and Michelle growing up as well as the actresses themselves. Saget became very close with his co-stars John Stamos who played Uncle Jesse, Dave Coulier who played Uncle Joey, Candace Cameron as DJ, Jodie Sweetin as Stephanie, and Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen as Michelle. Saget also had a role as the voice narrator for the sitcom How I Met Your Mother. He voiced the older version of the main character telling the backstory of his life.
Saget was an incredible actor who created an amazing father figure in a classic American sitcom who will be sorely missed.
