The Brookfield Central Girls Golf team wrapped up a great season with some impressive performances at both the Greater Metro Conference (GMC) Championship and in the overall conference standings. The girls placed 4th at the GMC Championship tournament and finished 3rd overall in their conference.
The team’s success was driven by outstanding individual efforts, with three girls earning All-Conference awards. Abbie Welch was a key player, wrapping up an awesome season by earning First Team All-Conference honors. Abbie’s skill and hard work earned her a spot to play in the state tournament where she played an amazing 36 holes, finishing in 24th. The team’s variety was also clear with the strong playing of two other notable golfers: Junior Alexa Fasciotti earned Third Team All-Conference, and sophomore Sophia Scherer also made Third Team All-Conference. The girls had some good competition this year, including strong teams like Wauwatosa and Oconomowoc.
A critical factor in the team’s success and development was the leadership of head coach Brian Scroble. Coach Scroble is known for his success. Most notably, he led the entire girls team to the WIAA state tournament just last year.
