Proposals of the year: Chobani flip, Distinguished Young Women & music
There’s always a lot of hype surrounding prom, but what people may not know is that most of that hype actually comes from the preparations, rather than prom itself. There’s dress shopping, tuxedo renting, alterations, hair and makeup appointments, and a lot of other preparations that happen prior to the dance. Before all of that is planned, though, students must face one daunting task: asking someone to go with them. Of course, it’s not uncommon for friend groups to attend the dance together, but many agree that asking someone to the dance is part of the whole experience. From this comes the idea of promposals. A good promposal should be creatively unique and relevant, not too extravagant, and well-executed (making sure to avoid any possible awkward moments).
