Brookfield Central’s 2024 Junior Prom took place on April 20 at the Saint Kate Hotel. Juniors were dressed up in dazzling gowns and tuxedos and experienced a night full of fun.
Many prom groups took pictures at various locations ranging from Waukesha to downtown Milwaukee. At 5:00, prom-goers convened in the BC gym where the grand march took place. Parents and friends were invited to watch as couples walked down the runway.Unfortunately, Bella Dudley (’25) had a medical emergency during the Grand March and was rushed to the hospital. Bella was missed during the rest of the prom festivities but, fortunately, she has since fully recovered and returned to school. As the march concluded, the prom court was brought out for the announcement of King and Queen. The 2024 prom court consisted of Evan Fernandes, Anya Brueggeman, Ojas Sharma, Lauren Coombs, Patrick Bokowski, Sophia Brueggeman, Aaron Marek, Kayla Webb, Bobby King, Emory Winter, Ashton Weber, Lacey Rios, Anthony Rise, Sarah Gillette, Noah Thorpe, Ayin Kim, Luke Field, Sophia Armstrong, Quintes Green, and Isabel Kelly. Luke Field and Lacey Rios were crowned Prom King and Queen.
Students then loaded coach buses to Saint Kate after the Grand March. There, dinner was served, followed by dessert. Students then made their way to the dance floor where DJ/AC, James Anewenter-Cano (‘24), was spinning the tunes. Of course, the average school dance songs were played: “No Hands”, “Party in the USA”, etc. And what would the night be without recreating the infamous “TikTok Rizz Party” to the song “Carnival”? For those who needed a break from the dancing, there was a 360Ο photo booth supplied with silly props, as well as snacks. After 4 hours at the Saint Kate, buses headed back to BC where the post prom was hosted. The post prom consisted of food, card games, raffles, and a movie, and it lasted all the way until 1:30 am, a perfect way to end the night.
