On November 21, the Brookfield Central Student Council hosted the 36th annual Golden Harvest Thanksgiving Dinner at the BC cafeteria. The event welcomed 150 senior attendees from the Brookfield area, which was a significant increase compared to previous years. Many guests credited their attendance to the posters the Student Council distributed throughout the community.
The Student Council played an important role in ensuring the event ran smoothly. Some members were assigned to serve food, while others engaged with guests at their tables. These interactions created meaningful connections, as guests had curiosities about the school, asked questions about clubs, and even shared amusing remarks about modern music trends.
During the evening, I had the chance to speak with several attendees, and nearly all of them enthusiastically shared that they planned to return next year. A highlight for many was the dessert: as they said, a delicious pumpkin roll. The atmosphere was full of chatter as the school band provided a pleasant musical backdrop.
As a member myself, I can confidently say it was an overwhelming success for everyone involved!—students and seniors alike. I’m already looking forward to participating again next year!
