As a child, she grew up in Waukesha, Wisconsin, and was always inspired to be an educator. Mrs. Schwalbe took a long journey to become a P.E. teacher and physical trainer. She graduated from Carroll University with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science in 2021, initially seeking to become a personal trainer. Before applying to be a teacher, she worked as a physical trainer and then taught at Kettle Moraine High School for about three years before applying to Brookfield Central, where she now teaches P.E. classes.
Mrs. Schwalbe teaches a variety of classes at Brookfield Central, including PE 9/10/11, Ultimate Strength and Conditioning, Health, Personal Fitness, and Outdoor Pursuits. She also plans to teach more classes in the future. Mrs. Schwalbe states that her favorite class is Ultimate Strength and Conditioning because “it can meet a lot of different needs. It can help athletes, overall strength, and self-confidence.”
Mrs. Schwalbe is a passionate and caring teacher who genuinely values her students, and BC is very lucky to have her. During her time at BC, she hopes to build strong relationships with students. “I just want to make good relationships with students, encourage them to try new things, and make good choices.” Mrs. Schwalbe also loves BC’s culture, saying, “I just want to add to the positive culture” while she’s here.
