As the BC track team takes on outdoor season, now seems like a perfect time to talk about the impeccable job both the boys and girls team did at Indoor Conference. Both coming in 1st place, the athletes performed with grit and determination to reach the top.
The boys team had their meet on April 1, 2025 at Germantown High School. By the end of the meet they had scored 127.5 points, beating out West Allis Hale by 20 points. This was a truly inspirational performance. Some notable athletes include Frank Wiedmeyer, who took 1st place in both the 55m and the 200m, Bobby King, who took 1st place in the 400m and 2nd place in the 55m and the 200m, Aaron Marek, 2nd place in shot put with a distance of 49’ 6.5”, Owen England, with a 1st place finish in 3200m and a 3rd place finish in the 1600, and finally Jack Fahrenholz, who took 3rd place in the 55m hurdles and 2nd place in the high jump. These athletes along with many others, not to mention the work of the coaches, made it possible for the boys to come out with a win.
The girls track team competed a day later on April 2, 2025. They, similarly to the boys, took first place with a remarkable lead. They scored an outstanding 126 points leading the pack by 22! This win, of course, wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible athletes. Having a fair share of national meets under her belt, sophomore Kenny Rinkam had an incredible meet with a first place finish in the 55m, 200m, and 400m, and to top it all off a 2nd place finish in the long jump. Other athletes with great performances include Emily Summers, 2nd in the 400m, Lily Michalski, 1st in the 3200 (2 miles) and 3rd in the 1600, BC’s 4x160m relay team taking 3rd, and the 4×400 relay team taking 2nd. Countless other athletes scored many points with 4th, 5th, and 6th place finishes. If anything, those places helped bring the girls to victory.
And now, as the outdoor season moves along, we can’t wait to see what all of these athletes are going to do. This season is sure to be something special. Thank you to the coaching staff of both the girls and boys teams for working numerous hours to improve these athletes’ performances. We know there wouldn’t be as much success without you. And to the outstanding BC Track and Field Team- We can only say “Good Luck!”
