The All School Picnic is on Wednesday, May 28, hosted by BC Student Council. There will be eight food trucks: Chick-fil-A, Maui Wow, Bubble Tea Bar, Burger Co., Street-Za, Double B’s, Pressed Waffle Co., and Vocado MKE. The Picnic is a celebration of the end of another fantastic school year, where students can enjoy shorter classes and fun outside.
Sophomore Aaryaa Mardikar is helping set up for the picnic with Student Council. She said, “I am so excited for the picnic because last year’s picnic was so much fun! The extended lunchtime meant we got to try different foods and relax with friends.” After the official picnic time ends, the members of Student Council will remain for their end of the year celebrations, which include awards and superlatives. Mardikar said, “I’m excited to stick around afterwards where we celebrate Student Council’s accomplishments and hand out superlatives for those that were selected!”
Sophomore Lucia Brewer is also on Student Council. She says, “I love that we get to be outside for the picnic. Summer is almost here and spending time outside is a welcome respite halfway through the school day.” Similarly, Junior Alba Meyers is excited to set up the picnic: “It’s my favorite part of being in Student Council that I get to work behind the scenes for events like these. I feel like I am able to contribute to making a fun experience for the whole school.”
The All School Picnic remains one of Brookfield Central’s most cherished end-of-year traditions. With delicious food, friends, and fun under the sun, the Picnic is a joyful celebration of the hard work from the 2024-2025 school year. It is a moment to unwind and soak in the final days before summer. The Picnic serves as a reminder that the finish line is near–we’re almost there!
