At this time of year, your calendar is probably booked full of parties celebrating April Fool’s Day, and you do not want to show up empty-handed. Bringing a snack or refreshment to a party is a standard of hospitality. Dip is a classic hors d’oeuvres… everyone loves a good dip! The possibilities are endless, as there are countless ways to serve and prepare it. This classic Springtime dip recipe is sure to satisfy every craving at your numerous April Fool’s events, because it artfully combines ingredients from each food group and taste palette. This recipe is incredibly simple to prepare, so you can whip out a batch right before you head out and share this divine dip with all of your fellow party-goers.

Here’s what you’ll need:

I stick of butter (preferably Land O’Lakes)

A carton of sour cream

A cup of brown sugar

2 tablespoons of soy sauce

A single diced prune

Half a cup of Heinz mustard

A teaspoon of curry

A pinch of cinnamon

The zest of an orange

10 pumpkin seeds, minced

Chocolate milk (add as needed)

Start by combining the butter, sour cream and brown sugar in a mixing bowl. Gradually add the rest of the ingredients to the bowl, stirring constantly. Add as much or as little chocolate milk as needed to make the dip creamy. Serve with pretzels, wafer cookies, or Doritos, and you’re ready to go! Make sure to invite everyone at the party to try the dip, but be certain that nobody knows that you made it. This is a highly secretive recipe, so you need to keep your cover. For example, you could ask the fellow guests “Who brought this dip? It is exquisite!” or something of the like. Everyone will be amazed.
