Veronica Daniel awarded Herb Kohl Scholarship

For her academic excellence, noteworthy leadership, and involvement in activities outside of the academic setting, Brookfield Central’s Veronica Daniel (‘15) was among 24 recipients of the Excellence Scholarship this year from the southeastern Wisconsin region. Applicants were awarded based on their leadership, citizenship, school and community involvement, and academic achievement; their future goals are also considered before the final awarding of scholarships is determined.

The Herb Kohl Excellence Scholarship was established in 1990 by Senator Herb Kohl (Retired). Every year, 100 graduating high school seniors receive this honor, and are awarded a scholarship to go towards their college or university of choice. In celebration of the foundation’s 25th anniversary, the Herb Kohl Education Foundation Excellence Scholarship will be increased to $3,000 to each student.

After being reviewed by a large panel of teachers, administrators, civic leaders, and community representatives, Daniel was selected to receive this honorable award.
