Brookfield Central Football’s Whirlwind Season

This season, the Brookfield Central Lancers pushed hard in their matches and made it into the playoffs. The team had its ups and downs, but all together played very well and the school was proud of their hard efforts. With the Lancers being ranked in the top one-hundred in the state of Wisconsin, the players within the team prove themselves to be a solid group.

Looking back on this fall season, the two biggest games were Kenosha and the Homecoming Game against Menomonee Falls/Hamilton. Both had phenomenal outcomes. In each game, the Lancers won big time, and it boosted morale for everyone involved. “It was the most memorable game and it meant a lot to us that we won,” said Jordan Bieck (’23). In addition, the Brookfield Central vs Brookfield East game was a fantastic game that should be noted. It had Brookfield Central fans screaming for their team, and was a memorable event for all who witnessed it.

The Lancers now have the State Game and the Gold Ball to win. Robert Bloom, Drew Edmond, and Joe Staff, some key players on the team, are ready to play their hearts out along with the other players on the team. Bieck also had some words of wisdom for younger football players: “Advice I have for new players is to not play scared and don’t back down no matter the opponent”. All Brookfield Central students and staff appreciate the hard work and dedication the team had for the sport they love. No matter if they got hurt or made a bad play, they always prove themselves to the place they love most.
