The boys tennis team is heading into the 2026 WIAA Boys Tennis Season with high expectations after winning back-to-back state championships. With a stong returning lineup and new players ready to step up, the team is once again looking like a top contender.
The Lancers won Division 1 state titles in both 2024 and 2025, proving they are one of the top teams in Wisconsin The 2025 season was one for the history books, as the Lancers went a perfect 26–0 and clinched the state title with a dominant 5–2 win. Now, with a strong group of returning players and promising new talent, the team is aiming for an historic third straight state championship.
Beyond just winning, the Lancers represent the school in a great way. Whether they’re playing conference matches or competing at state, the players show strong sportsmanship and compete with pride.Whether it’s in singles or doubles, every player contributes, and that balance is a huge part of their success. Coach and players alike talk about how much they focus on practice, teamwork, and supporting each other both on and off the court.
As the first practice kicks off on March 30, and the first meets begin April 3, the buzz around Brookfield Central is electric. The Individual State Tournament will be held June 4–6, and the Team State Tournament is set for June 12–13 at Nielsen Tennis. Students and fans can’t wait to see if the Lancers can make history and bring home that third straight title.
