Step up to Bat with BC Softball

Brookfield Central offers a wide variety of sports, clubs, and various other activities. One of the options provided includes the Lancer softball team. The teams are short on girls as of now and are looking for new players. Freshman, don’t worry! Even with little to no experience, you will be able to get onto the team! Joining the club is a perfect opportunity to try a new sport. Our captains include Binny Banda, #7 senior catcher continuing on to play at Judson University, Maggie Feng, #4 sophomore who plays shortstop or centerfield, and Kelsey Guy, #2 senior who plays second base are all here to support you and help you grow. Along with the captains, we also have an incredible coaching staff, including Mrs. Premo (varsity assistant coach) and Mrs. Lemke (JV coach). Each year, there is a team bonding activity and, this year, we are headed to Camp Whitcomb. We have open gyms in the winter that you may attend to see if you are interested. The dates include Tuesday January 25th, Tuesday February 1st, Wednesday February 9th, Tuesday February 15, Wednesday February 23rd, Tuesday March 1st. Tryouts are March 14th. The Lancer softball team has a great group of determined and passionate people, and they create a team that works hard together. Last year, the girls pulled out a win against Brookfield East, and had many other exciting achievements over a long and hard season. Between injuries and covid restrictions, the team bonded together and is ready for new faces to build our family.
